Who We Are

The Women’s Development organisation (WDO) was formed as a Voluntary Organisation in Oct. 1990 duly registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 having registration number 1744 dated 30th Oct.1990. The affairs of the Organisation are attended by a Board of General Body & Management Committee. 

What We Do

Women’s Development Organisation (WDO) was formed with prime objective to assist, encourage and to uplift rural & urban economically backward women from their welter of poverty that has still plagued them even after many years of independence. The main objectives of the Organisation are to uplift economic and social standard of rural and weaker sections

Programmes

Women's Development Organisation has been granted aid for various Design and Technical Development workshops under various schemes sponsored by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles in order to increase production base and upgrade the skill of artisans.

Registered with Niti Aayog, Govt. of India with WDO's unique id as UA/2016/0099956.

Empanelled with Tata Institute of Social Sciences in the sector of Handicrafts with cerficate number as H/15/08/55 for the tenture 01/04/16 to 01/04/19.
 

Empanelled with Tata Institute of Social Sciences in the General sctor with certificate number as  A/1/16/01/738 for the tenture 13/05/16 to 13/05/2019.

Honorable Union Minister of rural areas and employment Shri. Kinjarappu Yerra Naidu giving National Award "Rajiv Gandhi Party Bhoomi Mitra Award" (1994-96) by National Wasteland Development Board, Government of India to Dr. (Mrs.) K.K. Sharma, Secretary of Women's Development Organisation for an Integrated Agro-forestry  project
